The Ajisai Room is the home base of the Konan International Exchange Center (KIEC). You are welcome to spend time here with other students.

Ajisai means hydrangea, the city flower of Kobe 神戸. The Ajisai Room was given its name by Professor David Plath, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the first director of the Konan-Illinois Program. Professor Plath hoped that the students' experiences in Japan would bloom as beautifully as the hydrangea.
